With its impeccable proportions, a pure and sublime form, and minimalist decorative motifs, this Daybed qualifies as one of the true masterpieces of Chinese hardwood furniture from the Ming period.

Originally in the holdings of Ming Furntiure Ltd., this Daybed can now be found in The Chinese Rooms at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
